Aim-TTi TGF4242 – Dual-Channel Arbitrary Function Generator

The Aim-TTi TGF4242 is a high-performance dual-channel arbitrary function generator designed for demanding signal generation tasks in laboratories, development environments and automated test systems. With a frequency range from 1 µHz up to 240 MHz, it offers exceptional flexibility for generating precise signals across a wide spectrum of applications.

The instrument features two identical output channels that can operate independently, coupled or in tracking mode, allowing engineers to generate complex multi-channel signals with accurate phase relationships. Precise channel-to-channel phase control with extremely fine resolution ensures accurate synchronization between signals.

A wide range of built-in waveform types is available, including sine, square, ramp, pulse and arbitrary waveforms. User-defined arbitrary waveforms can be generated with 16-bit resolution and sample rates up to 800 MS/s, enabling highly accurate waveform reproduction.

The TGF4242 also provides extensive modulation capabilities including AM, FM, PM, FSK and PWM, along with gated, burst and sweep modes for advanced signal testing. Integrated USB and LAN (LXI) interfaces enable remote control and easy integration into automated test systems, with optional GPIB available for compatibility with existing setups.

With its powerful signal generation capabilities, flexible modulation options and intuitive user interface, the TGF4242 is an ideal solution for electronics development, RF testing, signal simulation and research applications.
