The GW Instek ASR-6500-10 is a high-power programmable AC/DC power source designed for demanding validation, compliance, and grid-simulation testing. As part of the ASR-6000 rack system, it delivers up to 10 kVA output power and operates from a three-phase 380–415 V AC input, providing flexible single- and three-phase output modes (1P2W, 1P3W, 3P4W) for diverse test environments.
The system supports output voltages up to 350 Vrms per phase (700 Vrms line) with currents up to 16.67 A, enabling reliable testing of power supplies, inverters, motors, UPS systems, and EV charger subsystems. An adjustable frequency range from 1 Hz to 1000 Hz allows realistic simulation of regional grid conditions or specialized industrial standards.
Using modern SiC semiconductor technology, the unit achieves high power density while supporting advanced features such as programmable output impedance, arbitrary waveform editing, and harmonic measurement up to the 100th order. Integrated monitoring and protection functions ensure stable and safe operation, and multiple units can be connected in parallel to scale system capability to higher power levels.
